1. Self-driving cars Road and car cameras collect data about road conditions and distance between cars respectively. In a 5G network when a 100 km/h car sees an obstacle, it requires a braking distance of only 2.8cm, down from 1.4m in a 4G network. High speed 5G network thus enables real-time transmission of data, improving the safety of self-driving technology.

2. AI-AR convergence Take a maintenance worker as an example, AR glasses collect conditions of the working environment, which is sent to the cloud for AI analysis and to provide corresponding recommendations. In this respect, a 5G network enables real-time transmission of data and creates synergy from AI-AR collaboration.
