Douyin’s DAU has increased more than 150 million within a year.
According to Douyin 2019 data report released on Monday, the number of Douyin's daily active users exceeds 400 million as of January 5, 2020. Compared to 250 million in Jan 2019, Douyin’s DAU has increased more than 150 million within a year.
Some other interesting data about Douyin mentioned in the 2019 report:
- teachers, nurses, firefighters, traffic police and doctors are the top 5 occupations which got most likes on Douyin
- 460 thousand families had uploaded over 3 million parents and children related videos
- over 24 million videos used the baby effect to turn back to the kid, while over 3 million videos used the aging effect to look older
- there are nearly 15 million knowledge-based videos in 2019, the most popular knowledge categories are food production, language education, and subject education
